What is wrong with parents who are complaining about Obama talking to their kids about

staying in school? I saw some woman on TV today raving about socialism. I agree it's a good idea to encourage kids to stay in school, it's good for society, but where is this woman getting her information? Somehow encouraging kids to stay in school is socialism? If we keep encouraging people like this, we will fall behind real socialist countries like Cuba.

Efforts to prevent school children from hearing an address from the POTUS urging them to set goals in life and stay in school is politics at its worse.

Rachael - that is exactly what the President is wanting. Are you going to apologize for being wrong about it after you hear the speech?

Courtney - that borders on "you need to seek help" level. You apparently haven't heard that half of all abortions are performed on women who have a "conservative" background.
 
I have no clue. There is some sort of mass hysteria running through America now. It is fueled by ignorance, hate, special interest and few pissed of politicians.

Every president in the past has given such a speech. So why now is this so terrible. Grow up people. Do any of you remember what GW Bush, Jr was doing on the morning of 911? I'll give you a clue: Emma E. Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Florida.

So all these people doing all the complaining and whining and name calling or worse now look pretty darn ignorant. Do Americans have the right to be ignorant?
 
You are burying your head in the sand again. His speech will probably be; Children, convince your parents to believe in me as the ruling emperor and savior of the world, the one and only Messiah, praise allah and down with white people.
 
Learn the rest of the story before you start the overused, beaten down tactic of marginalizing someone--as if that hasn't been done 200 times on here today. He is including LESSON PLANS. That is a problem.
 
I guess they must have pretty stupid kids if they need to be that coddled and protected. I never worried about what my children heard or saw. I raised them to question and think for themselves.
 
If he keeps it to encouraging kids in school....FINE...

But ...no....He plans on talking to them about talking to their parents on health care and accusing the parents of denying others so they can get theirs....odd how he is using the children to try and influence the parents...Hmmm didn't Adolph do the same???
And ...Where is the ACLU on this FORCING children to listen...is there an OPT OUT available....

NO....AND HISTORY SHOWS>>>>NO President sitting or not has EVER BEFORE demanded access to the children of the country....but then again you libs will forgive or excuse ANYTHING a liberal does...even MURDER....right Teddy...getting a earful from Mary Jo?
 
Nothing, if that was his only message. However he wants to promote his administration and the socialist agenda. He wants to know how my kids can help him out.

I told my kids to send him a copy of the constitution to have him read it.
 
If liberals would stop aborting babies who could have some children that would follow in his footsteps. For the time being he just needs to leave mine alone. :)
