I bought a Spotted Puffer fish from Wal-Mart about two weeks ago and the fish was fine up until a couple days ago. It can't swim now. It moves it's fins so hard and fast but yet it won't go anywhere but down and it is breathing really hard and rapidly. It's been acting like this for 3 days straight. It won't eat either. I but it in a small tank away from the other fish I have and I gave it a shrimp but it won't eat. What's wrong with it? Should I put it out of it's misery or is there some way I can nurse it back to health?
