What is wrong with my jeep? Help pls?

I own a 2003 Jeep Liberty Sport. There's a rattling noise behind my steering whenever I drive over bumps, even just the slightest bump for about two weeks now. I brought my jeep to the dealership earlier and they charging me $100 just to inspect. I really thought that they were trying to rip me off, seeing I'm in my 20s so I refused the offer.

Was the price reasonable though? And any comments about my jeep would be appreciated. Thanks
 
I am going to assume that you are talking about the steering column. probably a screw came out really common with tilt steering columns. I would take it apart and re tap and use a another screw and lock-tight it in tight
