What is wrong with my JEEP cherokee 2.5? Oil is leaking from the top of my Engine.

what should i do? The oil leak seems to occur at the top of the engine, not the bottom. the oil sump is intact but oil is leaking from the top. What could be the problem and could anyone suggest me a solution?

I've tried opening the valve cover and ive glued the gasket with gasket glue but to no avail.

Make sure you are not overfilling with oil. Pressure could be building and trying to push out anywhere it can.
 
Most likely your crankcase vent system is clogged and allowing pressure to build up in the valve cover. Check the vacuum line from the valve cover to the manifold. It is probably stopped up.
