What is wrong with my Ford Escort right turn signal?

Ok, so my right turn signal quit working completely. Nothing works on the right side. I have no exterior bulbs or interior dash bulb. If it is not a matter of the bulbs going out, what is the next step in troubleshooting this problem?

I have already read other questions with answers about checking bulbs. I am not talking about checking bulbs at this point. I am asking about the next step. Please consider that when you answer.

start with your fuse's and work from there if it was blinking really fast befor it stoped working its probly dead
