What is Wrong With My Fish?

It was sitting on the bottom last night, but upright. When I came home from school today he was lying on the bottom, but still breathing. It is a goldfish in a 10-gallon filtered tank with one other fish. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with it or how to save him, or if I should just wait for it to die.
I ahve already removed him from the tank and added a pinch of salt to his water.
Its stomach is also a little bulged too, if this helps.
 
it has probably got a disease from other fish (maybe new ones or others from the store)
for this kind of thing there isn't rely ever a cure
