This has been going on for years now.... I have some breathing issues (i just started breathing through the nose) nose was always blocked etc.

One of my eyes is swollen and the eyelid skin is very red and there is dry skin around the top of my eye.... does this sound like an allergy?

I have some hydrocortisone sterod cream but doubt that will help with the swollen eyelid..... went to see my doctor and he is sending me for a ct scan of sinuses.....

I just dont know what to do......

It could be...have you tried any allergy eye drops? The steroid cream should help with the swelling and flaking of the eyelid.

Thanks. No i have not tried the drops.... I have tried antihistamine tablets, would the eye drops be better? I mean for the swollen eyelid.

Hey thanks.. I used the allergy eye drops and my eye feels alot lighter today and i used some hydrocortisone cream also....

what should i do now regarding the allergy? should i continue to use the drops etc?

Sure, since it seems to be working. I'd keep on till all signs of a reaction are gone or shorter if the directions give a time limit. Just keep it around afterwarRAB in case you have another reaction. Hope it goes on and clears everything up for you....or makes it manageable!

You could even have a splinter in your eye. I had to have the "non-invasive FBR" procedure (foreign body removal) as my eye doctor called it. My left eye was burning, and I didn't know why. I told myself that I would go to bed and if the pain remained, I would see my eye doctor. Well, by noon the next day, the pain was still there, and I saw the doctor, and it was a good thing I did. There was a tiny piece of metal erabedded into my cornea. I couldn't see it, but the doctor found it right away.
