What is wrong with my Chrysler - shaky and RPM drops to zero?

My car gets really shaky either when i'm going kind of fast (40's & 50's and higher) or when I'm slowing down but not stepping on the break, just kind of coasting. There is no noise when it's shaky though, it's just rough.
Three times, when I've been driving around 40-55 mph, my car has jolted in the middle of driving, as if it turns off and back on really quick.. but I never stop moving because it's only for a split second. The first and third times I didn't notice what was making it happen but the second time it happened, I noticed the RPM drop down to 0 and shoot back up again.
The other night when I went to the gas station, I drove about 2 miles there, went inside, came out, and my car wouldn't start. I could hear it trying to start, but it wouldn't actually start. I let it sit for about 2 minutes and tried it again, it started but right when I started to drive, I couldn't drive anymore. I pushed the breaks, stopped, put the car in park, turned it off and back on, and then it drove me home.

During the end of the school year, my oil light would come on when I would be coming to a stop, and the whole I would be stopped. At the beginning of the summer, my car would turn off when I would be sitting at a drive through once in a while.. the lights would still be on and everything, but not the engine. Then one day it wouldn't start for about a half hour. Then I got it started, drove home, and my dad's friend ended up doing some work on it. I guess there was oil in my fuel line, or something close to that. The oil light hasn't come back on since but it seems like it's kind of doing the same thing as it was before, and other weird stuff like when my RPM dropped down to zero.

I've had people look at my car before, when the oil light was on, and no one ever really knew what was wrong with it and just gave me suggestions. Then when it wouldn't start, that guy did a few things to it and the oil light isn't on and it was okay to drive for a while, I didn't notice any problems. I just had my friends dad look at it two nights ago and without hooking it up to a computer or anything, he didn't find anything wrong with it.
