What is wrong with my brakes on my 1997 Toyota Camry?

When I apply my brakes to a slow stop, a low, grumbling noise begins. It sends slight vibrations in the wheel, and also happens when I turn the car when braking. It has 150K miles on it, so I'm not sure if I need new brakes, or if it is the CV joints. My struts are already bad, which make noises when I go over bumps (this is a seperate noise). Taking my car to the mechanic today, any help would be greatly appreciated!
 
did you read what you wrote,if you have bad struts ummmmm chances are they wont be able to give you a proper diagnose with broken parts
