I have 120,000 miles on it. Not sure of what has been done before the 70,000 mile mark. My check engine light comes on for a day or 2 and then shuts off. The diagnostic computer says "RANDOM MISFIRE". I notice that the light usually comes on when I am trying to accelerate and sometimes the car doesn't accelerate very well then the light comes on. Also, occasionally the coolant light comes on. I think these may be separate problems.
Any suggestions? I've heard some people say air flow issues to spark plugs to coils, and I may have a leak in the coolant tank. I just want to get an idea from some people before I sound like a tool trying to describe this to a mechanic.

Sounds more like a vacuum hose problem...as you accelerate, the distributor should advance and retreat as you accelerate...if that's not happening correctly, you could have a misfire! Its also entirely possible that the car just needs a tune up.
