What is wrong with me???

Hi!

I've started seeing my period at the age of 14. It started of dark brown and lasted for two days. Then it took me a whole year to have another period and ever since my cycles have been irregular. My physician said it was stress related, as my period only came when i'm on vacation or most relaxed. I later went on to use contraceptives and it made my period regular, but I stopped after I learnt of the effects on fertility. I tried another doctor and he started me on some iron supplements for pregant women at age 16 and it aided with 4 regular cycles (longest regularity ever) and then stopped. Now I am 22 years of age and still experiencing irregular periods. I can tell when I'm ovulating and have tried to conceive but failed. Now today my period is here, while on vacation, after trying to conceive, with some traces of white tissue contents present. I'm having extremely painful cramping and uncontrollable crying fits (all new to me).
However, on a regular basis I take a half hour walk, eat 3 meals daily, sometimes 2, I'm 98 lbs, and 5' 2" tall!
Can anyone tell me whats possibly wrong with me????
Is fertilty a possibilty here? :(

RachelAllington: Have you ever had your hormones tested and gotten examined for endometriosis? Endo can be very painful and interferes with trying to get pregnant. It loves the estrogen in your body and feeds off of it. It creates scar tissues inside you. You need to get a laparoscopy so the doctor can see if it's there. Sometimes they'll cauterize it for you.

You're tiny!!! Your weight could be a factor in you not getting regular periods. Sometimes people in the USA get fertility treatments in order to get pregnant if they're having a difficult time conceiving. Is that available to you where you live? You're still young at 22 and have a long time ahead of you to be able to get pregnant. Maybe you do need to relax more and not get stressed out about it. Good luck.

In order for a girl to start getting her menstral cycles she has to have a certain amount of fat on them (I took a Health and Wellness class Spring semester and that part sticks out the most), so it just might be that because of your small petite size that you won't get regular periods until you get a little bit more cushion on you (I would gladly donate some to you, I had twins 5 years ago and trust me I need some sort of work done, they damaged my body and the only way to fix it is cosmetically).
