what is "work" that you can not do on shabbot? Can you cook? Make love? clean...

Religious jews normally have sex on shabbat unless the wife is on her period or another unclean time.

You can make a sandwhich but no causing a spark.

You can clean ur baby's bottem.

You can clean the wound of an injured boy, life is above all laws- so you MUST help save it.

...your baby's bottom? clean the wound of an injured boy? What does a religious Jew who obeys G_d do and what won't they do?

Exo 20:9 You have six days each week for your ordinary work,
Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the LORD your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you.
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day He rested. That is why the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.

No religion can prevent yu from breathing , evacuating your bowls , and urinating etc on a sabbath day.
If God stops workeven for a single moment , the whole world will cease to be alive.
Remember , that prayer is also a work!

From what I understand, cooking you do the day before, the rest of the stuff is OK, they have to be done regardless. And yes, that does include making love. The jews were much more enlightened on sex than the christians, who got a lot of hangups from Greek philosophy. I did read somewhere (I remember information, but not where I saw it sometimes) that rabbis were required to make love on the Sabbath. That sounds like a good idea, much better than some of the "christian" ideas that everything but sitting in church on the sabbath is sinful. (But you notice the stores, malls, and bars are busy on Sundays. What gives??)

@"what is "work" that you can not do on shabbot?"

Hebrews 1:2.
He's Lord of the sabbath.

Remember David went 'against the Laws of the Priest?

Well, Yahshua said; the bread was good to eat; not just to look at.
The Corn was also good; so He and his disciples had a taste; this was done on the sabbath.

Religion stinks!
The Lord SAID: "I'M THE LORD OF THE SABBATH AND I SAID.....'[DO GOOD] ON THE SABBATH!

THAT'S WHY HEBREWS 1:2...is important to know.
What He say....GO'S!
