What is with these Jamarcus Russell jokes?

Is it an inside joke or something? Because I've seen several users cracking jokes at his expense.

just curious, I'm relatively new here thats why I ask.
no one's condoning the fact that he's a lard ***, but the NFL is the Epitome of fat americans. Wouldnt a guy like Kris Jenkins or Grady Jackson be an easier target to call fat? Just sayin'.
 
because it is true that the raiders may just have the biggest supporting fan base so they think they will get people mad by making fat jokes. the dude is not even fat...he has a couple of more pounds than most qb's but so what? im no raider fan, but these jokes are starting to get really annoying. heck, i even see the people who complain about this section not getting good questions yet they post a question like the j-russ ones.

EDIT: yeah, norry blocked me because he cant handle the truth. he is a troll you should look out for. atleast jamarcus made a name for himself while you are continuing to be the scum of this section.
 
Lets face it. When the raiders drafted J.R. they pretty much made a crappy decision. Being able to throw 80 yards is cool, its not great or spectacular. And when you take someone with the number 1 overall pick you expect them to be able to do something great/spectacular. People are upset because the #1 overall pick is supposed to be an honor. J.R. makes the #1 overall pick seem like a big joke
 
You mean after the joke I just made? Yeah, we talk about him being fat. Ya know, he sorta is. Just to let you know, we also joke about Brady Quinn and the Browns, Kansas head coach Mark Mangino and Oakland owner Al Davis. Now you know.
