What is with the prevalence of “how to dodge a draft” & “is there a draft”

questions? Are young teens really that dumb now-a-days to believe there is an active draft? They have been on this board at a higher number the past few months question ways to avoid a draft or stop a draft. What is going on in the world to all of a sudden spark an incoherent fear of a non-existent draft?

Now I am not labeling all teens as dumb. There are quite a lot of young men/women who are ready to enlist in the next few years and serve their country; I am grateful for this section of youth. I am just questioning why the fear of the draft has risen quite high the past few months.
Answer the question: I can spot the trolls. There has been that one on all boards lately who has been posting about beating up “baby killers”. I am speaking of legitimate questions by teens concerning the draft. Not the troll that has been lurking around.
How can they be so naïve though? How can they be that disconnected with current events to now understand the Selective Service is not an active draft? What is the source of this stupidity.

They are trolling. Pretty soon someone will post a question about how they got beat up by a soldier for calling them a killer or some such stuff.

I think a lot of them did not realize they have to sign up for the draft @ 18 and do not realized that is not the same as "the draft." I guess they think it is the same thing without checking the facts.*
