What is up with this? Sprint/HTC Evo?

Because my two year contract is almost up, I can have 150$ taken off of the price of a new phone for upgrading. The final price for the HTC Evo is 199$ after the "upgrade" discount. However, I noticed that the price is 199$ regardless of an upgrade discount with a 2 year contract for anyone (aka "instant savings"). What is up with that? This upgrade deal is a farce. Can I get around it and get a real discount? Don't tell me they just "rip everyone off," I am aware of that...experiences please? Much obliged, thanks.
Maybe I didn't clarify well enough... I too am a Premier customer. When I go onto the website and log into my account, click my phone details and click on the link that says as of July 2009 I'm eligible for 150 off a new phone, shop now, it shows 150 off the Evo just as I want to order. However, how is this a "special discount" if the phone's price is just the same to everyone even without the being a Premier customer?

If you are a Premier customer, it's 150$ off the reg. price, (labeled "Upgrade discount) totaling 199$.

If you are a new customer, it's 150$ off the reg. price, (labeled "Instant savings") totaling 199$.

The $150 is off the original price of the phone. Basically you can upgrade at the 2 year price after 2 years, just like every company. There is no rip off, it is in the contract. Read it before you sign it. I have never been ripped off by Sprint however I read every single thin in the contract before signing and ask before signing if I have any misunderstanding. Im getting the EVO after a year with the upgrade price b/c im a Sprint Premier Customer. Those customers can upgrade yearly at 2 year price.
