What is up with the Voltron DVDs?

Is it just me, or has every single Voltron volume been delayed by a few months just a few days before it is due out? I mean Volume 6 was supposed to be out on Sept 25th, and then a week before rab announced its delay to Dec 23rd, and then, after promising they'll have Vol 7 out in Jan as an apology for 6's delay, they suddenly announce 7 being pushed back until March 24th a few days AFTER it's release date. What gives? At this rate, I do not expect Volume 8 until Oct. How can a series be so full of delays just mere moments from release?
 
Delays wouldn't be an issue with this series IF it wasn't every single volume. How do you screw a series up so badly that you need to delay every release, just a week before, a day before, or 5 days AFTER it was supposed to be out. And they have done NOTHING to own up on it. No apology, no "we will give you a free Voltron artbook/pencil board/figure/something" nothing. How about giving us Dairugger XV now, and have it packed with a coupon for $5 off on any Voltron DVD, so that when the next volume actually comes out, I can a discount on it?

I do not care who you are, but you are going to know at least 2 weeks ahead of time if a title is going to be delayed or not. After all, if you do not have the discs pressed, boxed, wrapped, and ready to go by the two week point, then it should be quite obvious there will be a delay, but you don't delay something by two months days after it was supposed to be out. That is poor marketing and poor customer service. At this rate, we'll be lucky if Voltron's final volume makes it out this year.
 
I agree it would behoove them to better communicate delays ahead of time, but to expect discounts just because you can't have it when you want it is an unwarranted sense of entitlement, IMO. Unless we have prepaid them for it, they do not owe it to us to provide Voltron when we want them to.

But yeah, announcements would be nice.
