What Is This?

Hello :)

I've had this 'growth' on the back of my upper leg since i was about 11 years old. As the years have gone on it has gotten bigger and spread (i'm now 20). I've always been too embarrassed to ask anyone, but the anonymity of the internetz has made me post here and find out!

It's kinda impacted on my life a lot, actually. I never went swimming with my mates growing up because, obviously, it would be seen etc. I am a virgin because i'm too scared to be naked in front of people in case they freak out...

It started off the size of a small coin, but has grown and spread ever since. I call it my 'deformity' to myself as it's incredibly ugly and has an appearance of cauliflower! If i touch it or move it has gaps and cracks in it which sometimes ooze a yellowy liquid that doesn't smell very nice - i assume it's sweat. Other than that it is a uniform shape with a few independent ones. The sides are 'flaps'.

Haha. This reads so incredibly dumb, but i just wonder whether anyone can tell me what it is... i gross out over it myself so feel free to do so to! ;)

why don't you just go to a dermatologist? Y'know that your link was blocked out.

Better to know

actually in thinking more about it and your description it sounds like it may be a wart-but I'd still get it looked at.

Not sure what it is. But if it is getting bigger and leaking fluids. I would be vey concerned..You need to have this looked at Now! Might just be a wart. or it might be the start of skin cancer..Go to your doctor and let him look at it..

just wondering what color or colors this thing is? is it reddish with maybe a bit of blue in it? this just could be whats called a hemangioma, depending upon what color it is. were you actually born with this? this could have just been very very small at the beginning so you may have not actually noticed it til it started to grow when you grew? if you could just describe the overall color of this lesion, it would help. have you ever showed this to your doc?
