Hello all. I am new to these boards and would love some advice as i am becoming a little worried and very frustrated.
I have quite a bad pain in my ribs. The pain it at the very top under my left breast at the front. I can sit around and not feel it. Until i take a deep breath, cough or laugh. The funny thing is i can take a deep breath and it not hurt unless i stretch at the same time, if i stretch at the same time as taking a deep breath it does hurt, same with coughing and laughing.
I have been like this since christmas. I have had 4 trips to my gp and 1 trip to the hospital for a chest x-ray. At first my gp diagnosed pleurisy, after taking two weeks of anti-biotics i still had it and so he sent me for an x-ray. The x-ray came back clear...so what is it?
My gp has just left me now, told me to just see how it goes. I'm not very happy, its making my anxiety bad cos im worried. Co-codamol and ibuprofen don't help the pain at all. I'm so fed up, i'm not a headcase or inventing this pain. Can someone please help me and maybe shed some light on this.
