It came out around the mid-90's and was a fantasy movie.
The movie starts with a boy being bullied by the boyfriend of the girl he likes and his friends. He runs away into the sewers and somehow while hiding transports to another world. The people in this world almost look like half human/half kangaroo and used weapons kind of like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Then I guess at the end he transports back and defeats the bully somehow.
This was definitely more of a kid's movie and it was big enough to have a toyline and other merchandise.
