i recently bought a used car. Based on Kelly Blue book, I got a really good deal; about $2500 under book. According to the NADA guide, i paid $1000 more than I should have. I have looked at retail prices on autotrader.com and cars.com, and those price are more reflective of the KBB prices. Which is more accurate, NADA or KBB, and why is there such a variance?
Glenn, both KBB and NADA have trade in and retail values. There is a large variance between the KBB trade in and the NADA trade in, and the KBB retail vice NADA retail. I'm trying to figure out what accounts for that variance. Thanks.
