I would say March. During this month, all that is talked about on ESPN's SportsCenter and similar shows is March Madness. It can be interesting when they show highlights of exciting games, but what really gets to me is when they spend more than half of a one-hour episode predicting the outcomes of games that have not happened yet, predicting whether borderline teams will make the NCAA tournament or not (as if these teams actually have a chance of winning the tournament), and conducting interviews with "bracketologists." Also, the ESPN broadcasters seem to be oblivious to the fact that the NBA and NHL seasons are in their final stretch of games before the playoffs, and there are some major decisions being made in baseball during spring training. But professional sports do not matter during March, only March Madness matters.
