For me it was in July 2006. Back then I was driving a 1995 Mercury Sable with 110,000 miles on it. The car seemed to be fine and was going nicely. But at a red light all of a sudden, the steering connection is cut off from the front tires. The tires then get twisted and can't be straightened because steering connection broke. And then the light turns green. That was so embarrassing for me! Then the guy behind me keeps blasting his horn in anger. I just get out of the car and as soon as i call AAA for help, some woman rear-ends my car and the sable is totaled on the spot. After that I swore I'd never buy another American car again.
