what is the worst book you have ever read?

for me i would have to say thirsty by M.T. Anderson or Doing it by Melvin Burgess. They were so horrible that i could not even bear to finish them.

A Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. It was too descriptive, generally pointless and boring.

There are bad books that I've never "read" because I've never finished them. Right now, my least favorite that I've read all the way through is the 3rd book of the Eragon / Inheritance series. It was supposed to be the last in the series, but for some reason the author didn't just finish it up. The story was poised to be finished, but it's now dragging, with no point and no direction. It's infuriating, mostly because there was a lot of potential in the first 2 books.
