I am a female wanting to get a civil union or domestic partnership with a male in the military. Reasons aside, would the military still honor such an arrangement like it was a marriage? Would we still have all the benefits of being unified as partners through marriage do?
We live in California.
It seems like such bullsh*t that I can't choose to have a civil union or domestic partnership instead of a marriage. It just goes to show that marriage and civil union are NOT EQUAL. No wonder gay rights are all a fluster.
