I need help identifying this, I think is either a movie or an episode of a TV show...
Long time ago (i think it was in 1998), a saw something like this on TV.
A guy travels to a parallel dimension where everything looks better, he is married to the girl that he likes on his universe, and the cars are public (I remember the cars being white, and having the license plate of the city they belong), the guy decided to move to this alternate earth.
Then he saw something on TV, the announcer call everyone to go out to the streets and and form a mob to lynch someone, (I think he was a criminal or something). (I think the announcer uses the word "The Game", as in: "Calling everyone for The Game".
That's almost everything I remember.I think there was something about a brain operation, like a lobotomy, to treat someone who doesn't fit the system, and the girl he likes suffers one, but i'm no sure about this...
I looked all over for this, I thought I found it when I saw an Sliders episode called "Lucky of the Draw", but it's not that, although is similar.
