I had to read this book in middle school but I can't remember the title or author. It's about a mother that leaves her three children sitting in the car outside a mall. She abandoned them. The kids then decided to walk all the way to Charlotte, NC where their aunt lives. Along the way, they have to sleep in parks and stuff. It's based on a true story.
