What is the syntax using the Php MySql?

My database having three fields, the name, idno & pict.

I want the pict field to output with an extension name of jpg.

For example
Name Idno Pict
Ven 1 ven.jpg
Monica 2 monica.jpg
Glenda 3 glenda.jpg
Lerma 4 lerma.jpg

The name will automatically save at the pict field with the jpg extension.

Please show me how? What is the complete PHP MYSQL syntax?
