what is the stock engine in a 96 honda civic dx?

i only know that its a non vtec 1.6l 4 cyl. what i want to know is the name and all the important numbers for it.

like how people say that they have a b16 or k20a, whats the name of this engine?
how does it go from 107hp at the crank to 93 at the wheels? i have just the essentials hooked up to my engine- no ac or power steering.
 
D16Y7 NON-VTEC 107 HP at the crank, 93 HP at the wheels. and about 85 ft. lbs of torque.
