What is the source of PBS HD East?

What day? I am in the Boston area and have WGBH on cable and Bell and it seems like they both have the same programme on at the same time. I did notice last week that Bell had the Masterpiece listed as 9-11pm instead of 9-10pm which it should have been and was.

Tonight (Oct. 26) for example.

wgbh.org lists:
10:00pm Suze Orman: Women & Money (CC)
midnight Dr. Wayne Dyer: The Power of Intention (CC)
3:00am Stay Rich Forever and Ever! With Ed Slott (CC)
4:30am Change Your Brain, Change Your Life (CC)

That's the same as their SD channel.

On Bell I'm seeing:
10:00pm Frontline
midnight Nature
1:00am Mystery
2:00am Frontline

You know what, you are right. But what is weird is that when I was comparing programs just a few minutes ago both channels were showing WGBH advertisements that said WGBH, but then both went on to different programs. I have no idea why they would do this?? Definitely a weird thing, I doubt these shows are getting shown on some other Canadian channel.

Although much of the PBS-HD programming comes from PBS Central, many of the channels are now capable of generating/broadcasting their own HD programming, so schedules can be different.

I see differences when looking at the schedules for Buffalo, Detroit, Seattle, Spokane for example.

Dig into wgbh.org a little more - you can find their HD schedule, which is not
usually much like the SD schedule.

For awhile, I thought Bell was only broadcasting one PBS-HD feed and simply remapping it to the two PBS-HD channels to save bandwidth. Maybe they're still doing this to some extent, but I have noticed different programming on the two different PBS-HD channels from time to time in the last couple of weeks.
