What is the size of your physical and digital music collection?

My external drive decided it no longer wanted to work, so I only have what's in my iTunes...it was rather time consuming deleting all of the songs which no longer worked as they were locked away on a non-functioning POS external. :/

I wound up just completely clearing my iTunes library and adding the music I had on my actual computer. About 20k songs.

I've already tried fixing that and I called and emailed and went to the apple store... It's gone.. I gave up on that aspect of it... I just don't know where to go from there? Because my old music collection was purely iTunes and now I don't want to use it again especially with the raise in prices... so what should I use now? Napster? Rhapsody? Amazon downloaRAB? or maybe just buying CRAB.... I don't know.... any advice?

i get sad everytime a new ipod comes out with more memory and they advertise it as "it can hold EVERYTHING". it still can't hold everything i have.

I used to have 100+ gigs.. I've deleted a lot as I'm no longer as into underground rap and hip hop as I used to be. But I just to have around 30,000 songs. I am currently at 8,000. Yes I got rid of a LOT of music.

my itunes got wiped and i lost a lot in switching to a new computer
but ive been re-establishing it and its up to 22.55 gig now
nowhere near what i used to have though

i ahve a lot of cRAB as well...dont know how many though

An external HD should definetly be small enough to fit in your pocket and sturdy enough to take a drop to the floor or two or three. Otherwise, you might as well get an internal one, I think .. at least as long as cabinet space allows for it! It's cheaper and won't clutter your desk.

Probably, but it was about a year ago that I bought it, so it's probably a lot cheaper by now. Either way, it's definitely sturdy and portable enough to be of pretty good use.
