The world is entering final stage of political, economical, and military balance as it was defined in post-WWII era. Since 1945 the world is dominated by USA, and so far, it is still undisputed superpower, which was not forced to change the main course of internal/external development since the 40’s-50’s. However, the role of USA is diminishing from declining prestige of the American values and civilization to the lost hegemony of dollar as the sole international currency. The political influence of Washington, the economical of New York, and the cultural of Los Angeles is fading away with increased globalization. The collapse of Soviet system created dangerous unipolar world, which enabled to rise of Islamic nationalism. The European community is competing with USA and China on the global stage. The EU economy has surpassed USA with combined HDP exceeding North America together. The China is becoming the future of the world and will eventually dominate the world when the economy per capita will catch up with the wealthiest states. Neither USA nor Europe can compete with the term of demography with China. USA has reached Zenith about 35 years ago, but in the past 15 years, the deterioration of the superpower became evident, and was speeded up by awful 8 years of GWB mismanagement. Future American generation will certainly ask what we did wrong and why nobody has done anything to stop the decline of the state. Obama and anyone else in near future would be able to change anything. There must be a vision for the state far exceeding the political term limits of the presidency, and in the 20th century, there were only two statesmen who had such gift: FDR and Rony Reagan.
A current economic crisis is just a beginning of prolonged series of economical shocks that will destroy the wealth of many. The crisis is the part of the economical warfare among three main world players, on which everyone will lose. Economy is the Achilles heel of the world, since production, financing, and sales are distributed unequally around the globe. Countries that are quickly to adapt rapidly changing environment will survive better than others, which will bring society in long lasting stagnation and depression. Personally if I still will be here till 2040, between now and then, there will breaking event like was WWI, WWII, or French Revolution.

Brief situation of the world at present? Economic turmoil, cultural and social inequalities and political variations across the spectrum. Did I leave anything out?
