What is the scariest movie you have seen?

There was two films that unsettled me.

One was called Necronomicron. The bit where that copper gets her arms and legs ripped off and she still kept living really got to me.

Another bit in the film was where the Buddist Monks turned really evil and nasty. (No one expects Buddist Monks to be horrific. :))

The other film that gave me the willies was NoES 3. (The bit where Freddy was that worm thing really scared the life outta me.) But I remember fancying Taryn in that leather number somethin' rotten. :p

These days nothing actually scares me film wise, maybe something supernatural would. I think the scaredest I have ever been while watching a film was during the never ending story  when the wolf is in the cave, but I was about 5 at the time. Most horrors these days ars just a bit sick and not actually scary. Anyone seen a good supernatural?

I Concur! I was only young when i saw that - about p***ed meself when the grave digger opens the coffin and Danny glick sits up! Those eyes! Those teeth!

Recently, though - I remember watching the GRUDGE in 2004 at the cinema - i went home and i have the same kind of staircase as in that house - like a spiral sort of staircase - I always expected to look up and see a young Japanese boy sitting there!

Despite having quite a strong stomach for horror films - I had to turn away a few times during the first 10 minutes of SAW 3. Stomach-churning!

Also in my list - The RING, FRIGHT NIGHT - and EVIL DEAD 1 and 2 made me jump a few times!

For me the scariest films have to be:

Jeepers Creepers (the 1st half is fantastic but gets stupid during the 2nd)

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (very disturbing, especially when the girl is put on a meathook)

The Shining (the feel of the tension and isolation was brilliant, and the way Jack was glaring at the son and wife playing outside, then cuts to his crazy insane expression!)

Hostel (did scare me because it was so disturbing)

Halloween (a very creepy killer, especially the sounRAB of Myers breathing in the mask. Best soundtrack of all time IMO)

The Descent (again, the unknown)

Misery (when Paul is asleep and Annie is just outside the bedroom, slowly pushing the door)

IT (the clown freaked me out so much I felt sick)

Yep, still creeps me out that film does, and its for kiRAB?
As mentioned The Grudge (I bought the dvd and havent got up the nerve to watch it again yet):o and the bit in Salems Lot when the kid sits up in the coffin, gets me every time.
