What is the "safest" branch of the military?

My plan is to be a helicopter pilot in the Navy. I would like to do ASW or something along those lines. And my safest i don't mean there is no danger of dying, because thats what the military is, and if your not willing to do it and you shouldn't enlist. By safest I mean not going into Iraq and being with the ground troops, do Navy heli pilots really get shot at all that much? just curious, thankyou
