What is the right bike size for me?

i am 6'1" and am looking for a bike............ i see ones that say stuff like 24" AND 18". what measurmet is good for me?
 
Im 6" and ride a hard tail MTB with 26" wheels and a Large frame. All frames are slightly different shapes and sizes so a single measurement wouldnt be sufficient to tell. There is a standard system of bike frame sizes .For you, youd want to look at L (large) or XL (extra large) frames
