It depends on the department. We carry lost of bags with different things. It could be their defibrillator especially if you saw one in the hospital also. It could be their main bag or (trauma bag) this typically has a bag valve mask for patients who are not breathing, intubation equipment, tubes for airways, bandaging equipment, medications if they are a paramedic unit. We also carry oxygen bags with oxygen cylinders, oxygen mask, nasal cannula for oxygen delivery, a pulse oximeter for checking oxygen content in the blood. Basically they come in all colors, shapes and sizes and can contain just about anything, differing from department to department.
