What is the problem with people that never get jokes and take things much too...

...seriously? I've noticed lately a trend that people seem clueless about funny situations. Nobody smiles or laughs any more and they seem to take things very literally. I'm always laughing and joking and see the humorous side to things, but when I do, people look at me like I'm insane.
 
They have no life, like example :

Someone in our school said a joke and we all laughed except for one person. And everybody hates that person, so they obviously need a social life :P

My father is dying a slow painful death from cancer. Where is the humor in that? Show me please.
