Ok, So I am overweight and considered in the morbidly obese range. But this isn't my main issue. Whenever I eat breakfast or drink Coffee and put sugar in it. (which is usually around 8 in the morning) about 3 or 4 hours later I start feeling shaky, I get hot flashes some times. sometimes I feel like I could just sleep for days, feel light headed but mustly like I need to vomit. What is this? I've been test for diabetes and no issue there, so whats my problem?

ashworth74: Shakiness is a symptom of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Other symptoms are: fast heartbeat, sweating, anxiousness, dizziness, hunger, impaired vision, weakness/fatigue, headaches, and irritability. You could have Reactive Hypoglycemia. You don't have to be diabetic to have it.

How old are you? Are you in perimenopause. Insulin is a hormone. Have you had your hormones tested? Look into Estrogen Dominance. One of the 40 side effects of it is.....
HYPOGLYCEMIA!!!!!!!!! You don't have to be in perimenopause or menopause to have ED. I found out I had it because I started having epileptic seizures at menopause. The hormones are making my brain cells misfire.

We are exposed to alot of chemicals these days whether it's the foods we eat, the air we breathe, and these can increase the estrogen in our bodies. You mentioned that you're overweight. Well, guess what? Estrogen LOVES fat!!!!! This is why women going into menopause start getting the fat in the belly, legs and hips. It's natures way of storing the estrogen that will slowly disappear when the body stops making it. The ovaries make the estrogen and progesterone, and when they stop making it it get made by the adrenal glands. Then your adrenals get tired and you end up with adrenal fatigue.

I read all about this in Dr. John Lee's books " what your doctor won't tell you about perimenopause" and one on "menopause".

Your gyno or PCP probably won't do the hormone testing. You need to get it done by an endocrinologist who is trained in dealing with this. Have the endo check your thyroid, adrenals, and hormones. Hypothyroidism can also cause you to be tired and sleepy. Keep us posted. Good luck

This is what was happening to me. I would have a coffee with my breakfast in the morning and by about 10am my blood sugar would plummet, I'd get the shakes, my brain would go foggy and I wouldn't be able to concentrate and my memory would go to crap. I am hypothyroid (recently diagnosed) and my doctor started treatment in April. She told me I needed to quit drinking coffee because she said it's bad for my thyroid...and voil

That is your main issue.

Being overweight means that your metabolism is dysfunctional, especially your body's handling of Insulin. An unhealthy metabolism can cause all kinds of health problems and nasty symptoms.

Probably symptoms of an unhealthy metabolism, especially in the handling of Insulin.

I would be willing to bet that you are Pre-Diabetic, or suffering from Insulin Resistance. A very healthy, reasonable calorie diet is the best "medication" available. At the same time, an unhealthy, high calorie diet will create all kinds of havoc within our bodies.
