What is the point of purchasing a mac then installing windows using boot camp?

As well as boot camp and a windows install disc, buy a product called VMware Fusion 2. It allows you to run windows stuff whilst still running Mac OS X. Is you want more info just go to the apple website and take a look at it.
 
I was thinking about purcahaing an apple macbook, but i am an architect so i use cad programs which i cant use on a mac unless i install windows onto it using boot camp. The reason i was leaning towards a mac is becasue is is rarely gets viruses meaning no virus software to slow down my computer. If i'm just going to be using windows on the mac anyway which increases the risk of viruses, whats the point of spending twice as much money on a mac when im just going to be using windows on it anyway? Isnt it a smarter option but a pc for much less of a price?
 
If you install windows onto a mac you have a windows laptop

Remember there is nothing special about a mac apart from the operating system the hardware is exactly the same as comes with a normal laptop apart from it costs twice as much.

So i think you already know there is no reason to buy a mac unless all you want is a fashion item.

You can just download the free versions of avast or avira. They dont use up a noticable amount of system resources at all. I have been virus free for over three years on all the computers in my house with avast. Even though one has limewire on it.
