I mean besides satisfying one's vanity...
Mr. human, I happen to write poetry, and many people-including professionals- have told me to publish my work; yet, I thought if nobody is going to read it anyway, and that it will gather dust on the shelves of libraries, then what is the point of publishing it in the first place?!
Milieu: I'm specifically talking about ''budding'' poets and the amount of their poetry being published, as well as the lack of critical attention towards them.
This is merely a question and not an attack that needs counter-attack!
Maddamsell: what do you mean by ''researching'' my ''opinions''? Because I have not presented any here (what I'm presenting is a question)

join the human race and you might find out...on your planet what do people do to share about their condition?

So others can appreciate the depth of the poet's mind and are left to their own devices as to how they would interpret it. That's step 1. Step 2 is when they will share the ideas and interpretations, analyse the poem and give praise. Step 3 when the poem is famous enough, they give it to poor literature students to write essays about. :)

Art is created for more than the artist. Most artist have a reason for creating what they do. If we had no art this life would be bleak indeed.
