...company with a District Court subpoena?
Thank you djr92 - the correct name of the company and or web site is "poemhunter.com" and not "...hunter(s)". My mistake.
Some of the details of the case are as follows:
A Plaintiff has entered into District Court as evidence an Exhibit of an e-mail and an attached poem obtained from the web site "poemhunter.com".
The Plaintiff claims that the Defendant retrieved the poem from the web site and forwarded it by e-mailed to the Plaintiff in an attempt to abuse the Plaintiff.
The Defendant claims to have never been a member nor ever visited the "poemhunter.com" web site at, near or before the time the alleged abusive poem was retrieved and or forwarded by e-mail to the Plaintiff.
The Defendant has asked the court to issue a Subpoena for "Poemhunter.com's" Business Records pertaining to the retrieval and or forwarding of the poem in question in order to prove that the Defendant:
A) never was a member of the "poemhunter.com" website;
B) did not retrieve the poem from the web site;
