What is the pbs cartoon show called with rats or mice living in the medieval times?

The show had mice or rats set up in medieval times where a mouse was chosen to defend the land by his ancestors. It was based on a book, but I cannot even remember the author. I just remember that it aired on Sundays on KCET and it was a cartoon.

It was called "Redwall", it was based on a very long, but entertaining series of books by the author Brian Jaques.
