WHAT IS THE " NO BUS " READING ON MY 2000 CHRYSLER NEON?

I had just recently just installed subwoofers.( 400w subswoofers powered by a 400w amp). Everything seemed to be fine until the one day i noticed my guages were going haywire and the odometer gave me the reading " NO BUS " its been going on for the last 3 weeks and never acted up since ive installed the subwoofers. THe battery had been replaced last year, the ground wire is in contact with metal, not paint and the wiring from the deck to the amp is correct. what the heck is going on here!
 
just a lucky guess: maybe B.U.S stands for no Back Up Switch. Go to a systems installer and ask if your system needs one, or if it needs some type of voltage regulator
