From sometime in the 70's and it was about a guy who takes everyday common sayings literally. Super funny but i cant find it anywhere. I think it was made around the same time as Tom & Jerry and would play along with other like cartoons. He was like a beatnik guy and the narrator would say something and he would take it literally. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a series. Anybody know?
