The death scene midway into the movie has the hero laughing and eating at a restaurant table with people who used to be his enemies. All of the suddens someone stabs him from underneath the table while he is eating. He gets up and tries to fight his way out of the restaurant but he is injured too badly and there are too many people attacking him. He continues fighting and inching his way toward the exit until he is finally killed.
Cut to his funeral with his photo above his casket. The rest of the movie is of his friend trying to avenge the hero's death.
