artemis fell in love with him.
she would sneak away with him on some nights while she was suppossed to be charoiteering the moon,
the gods (zues, i think???) found out and decided to put an end to this,
a scorpion was sent to orion.
i don't remember if there was a battle, or if orion was sleeping, but eventually orion was stung.
artemis was in the area when this happened. she was sad that orion was killed.
she placed him in the sky gently.
then, she hurled the scorpion in the oppostie direction.
this is why scorpius and orion are in opposite parts of the (greek latitudes) sky.
it's been ages since i've done greek mythology, so i hope i'm at least close.
