What is the most painless way to kill my betta fish?

will if its sick u should buy those medicine for betta i bought one and it work. But if ur fish is hurt then thats to bad. Its best if u leave it in the tank and let it die because if u flush it, it mught survive in the sewers, if u knife it it will feel pain and if u burn it , will feel pain and if u burry it, it will rot and feel pain.
 
Try giving him away

If nobody will take him, put alka-seltzer tablets in the water to knock it unconscious and then quickly cut off it's head.

I'd say try to find somebody to take it first though.
 
It's a beta fish! Clean it's bowl, feed him, and give him decorations in his bowl. It can't be hard to take care of a beta fish, come on now!
 
DONT dump it in the toilet..-itll survive for days in those sewers!!!!!


this is what you do, and its commonly accepted from fish keepers. get a bucket, bowl of ice cold water, put ice in it just to make it extra cold. then put your poor betta into the bowl/bucket. he/she will go into shock for about 1-3 seconds, and then it will die..its kind of a euthenization method for fish.

Give him away.
Or just leave him be.


Personally i either flush them or throw it in the trash.
 
I don't think there is a possible way for him to die painless, flush him down the toilet. Or just throw him in the trash.
