i'm talking gory and scary not just scary as most people say..

any ideas
i am more into ghosts as they scare me more than monsters maybe more spirits, supernatural

Let's see... I'm thinking it's a toss-up between David J. Schow's "Havoc Swims Jaded" collection and "All the Beautiful Sinners" by Stephen Graham Jones. I didn't like "Havoc Swims Jaded" all that much, but if you're looking for pure gore, Schow might be your guy -- he's considered one of the best writers in the splatterpunk genre. But I found his writing somewhat juvenile, and the endings of the stories (with a few exceptions) kind of let-downs.

"All the Beautiful Sinners," on the other hand, is a bloody terrifying story about the hunt for a serial killer. I know, I know, sounds like "Silence of the Lambs," but it's not. It's so much better. The writing is both staccato and smooth at the same time, and the characterizations are witty and well-drawn. But it is decidedly gory and sick and scary, though it lacks the ghosts you were talking about.
