What is the most difficult contemporary problem in electronics engineering?

I'm asking all you professional electrical and electronics engineers out there. What problem (or problems) is/are there in your field that no one has solved, or even approached?

To give you an idea of my level of technical understanding, I'm a third-year electrical engineering undergraduate student at the Clark engineering school.
 
You'd be better to approach the lecturers/researchers at Clark, or just ask some of the people there (perhaps post grad's if there are any around that you can find).
