I am an upper-year ESL student, I understand context and proper grammar (etc.) yet I'd like to improve my thinking and reading comprehension skills. I have read very few 'proper' novels, my teacher and friends recommended me these, which is the best to open up on? Simply put, which ones are the easiest to understand before progressing to the others?
