What is the major difference between American and British culture?

Since there is a misconception among asians that both are having same cultures and traditions,I was wondering if it is true!!

OK, that was rude. This is from the outside looking in, but it appears that the difference is that America is trying to take over the world and Britain is just tagging along for the ride.

Having said that, Americans are some of the nicest people I have ever met.
